In a race that saw its fair share of drama, Fernando Alonso managed to secure his 100th podium in Formula 1 at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit. But the joy was short-lived as the FIA handed him a 10-second penalty, snatching away his moment in the sun. Despite the setback, the Spaniard was determined to celebrate his achievement on social media.

Alonso's penalty was due to his improper positioning at the start of the race, which caught the attention of the FIA. However, it was later revealed that the penalty was not served correctly by Aston Martin, and the honor of the third-place finish went to George Russell.

Naturally, Alonso was not thrilled with the decision despite feeling optimistic about his chances with Aston Martin, but slammed the FIA for their strange decision-making.

The story didn't end there, as the FIA then released new documents revoking Alonso's penalty, thus restoring his podium finish. It was a fitting end to a race that kept everyone on the edge of their seats.
