The Ferrari F1 team is trying to turn things around with a series of upgrades to their car over the next few races. According to the Italian edition of Motorsport.com, the "new version" of the car will hit the track around the time of the Barcelona Grand Prix.

It's no secret that Ferrari has struggled to keep up with the frontrunners this season. With Charles Leclerc in tenth place after two DNFs and Carlos Sainz sharing fifth place, the team is currently sitting in fourth place among constructors, 30 points behind the leaders. But they're not giving up just yet - behind the scenes, the team is working tirelessly to make changes that will help them gain ground in the remaining races.

One key change is the switch to "downwashed sidepods", which a lot of the field have gone for. Ferrari had been sticking to their own sidepod design, but after realising that their current design wasn't working, Ferrari has finally decided to join the party and adopt the downwashed sidepods. The original plan was to introduce the upgrades at Imola, however, they have confirmed they will be now bringing them to the Barcelona Grand Prix.

But that's not all - the team is also making other changes to the car. At the upcoming race in Baku, a new diffuser will be fitted, and in three races time at Imola, the rear suspension will be taken care of.

All of these changes come after Ferrari analysed data from previous races and identified the problems with their current design. And with the team's upgrade plan in place, fans of the Prancing Horse can look forward to a more competitive team in the races to come.
