Former F1 Champions See Lewis Hamilton Pattern: He Will Be "Formidable Again"
Former F1 champions Nico Rosberg and Damon Hill spoke about the tough time Lewis Hamilton is in at the moment with the ongoing Mercedes W14 struggles, and what his "ultimate test" will be coming out of it.
The seven-time champion has seemed a bit low over the ongoing issues with it taking him out of the chances of fighting for his eighth title.
Hamilton was joined by his new teammate George Russell in 2022 who ended up taking the only race win for the team in Brazil and came fourth in the drivers' championship in comparison to Hamilton who finished in sixth place.
Russell once again was able to outperform the British driver at the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix last weekend. Speaking after the event, Rosberg explained:
"George is the ultimate test, he is a future world champion.
"This is a difficult one for Lewis to stay in front.
"We saw it last year - what an awesome season George did and George is continuing on that form once again.
"So it is going to be a big challenge.
"Let's not forget, Lewis is the best of all time so if there is someone that can beat George, it is Lewis."
Hill added:
"Let's not forget, he gets down and then he fights back.
"You just never count him out, he will go away and have a rebuild himself and once he gets the car he wants, then he becomes formidable again."
