For the 2023 season, George Russell has chosen a helmet design that reminisces his beginnings in racing. The British driver will sport a poison green helmet at the Bahrain Grand Prix, adding a contrasting touch to Mercedes' all-black W14.

Russell has decided to go back to his origins with a green helmet, a colour he first used during his debut racing year in 2006. In a recent video, the Mercedes driver shares his excitement about his new helmet, showcasing it ahead of the Bahrain Grand Prix.

In the upcoming Bahrain Grand Prix, Russell's helmet will not only bring a nostalgic feel but also a bold appearance. The British driver's green headgear will undoubtedly stand out alongside Mercedes' black W14.

The bold design is also significantly different to his teammate Lewis Hamilton's, making it easier for fans to distinguish between the two of them.

Fans have been loving the new design already. One fan commented:

"You in green and Lewis in yellow to match the country that had the best victories I hope there's a special helmet for us this year"

Another fan responded:

"Very aesthetically pleasing with the green trim on your car to match Lewis' yellow helmet with yellow trim"

Someone else noticed the coordination with the '63' number on Russell's W14. They wrote:

"I knew that helmet would be green because the number on your car is green. As for the helmet, it looks nice."
