Max Verstappen won the Italian Grand Prix at the iconic Monza circuit, breaking the record for the number of consecutive race wins with ten.

Joining the Red Bull driver on the podium were Sergio Perez and Charles Leclerc who crossed the line in second and third, respectively.

Things got off to a terrible start for Yuki Tsunoda who ran into a power unit issue during the formation lap ending his race before it even started. 

Carlos Sainz managed to hold off Max Verstappen for fourteen laps before the Red Bull driver took the lead of the race. 

Fans have seen some incredible battles between George Russell and Sergio Perez as well as Liam Lawson, Nico Hulkenberg, and Fernando Alonso.

Penalty: George Russell was handed a 5 second penalty for leaving the track and gaining an advantage over Esteban Ocon.

Lewis Hamilton and Oscar Piastri collided on lap 42 as the seven-time champion went for the overtake, leaving Piastri with a damaged front nose. The incident will be investigated by the Stewards. 

Esteban Ocon was also forced to retire from the race, although it is not clear what has ended his race. 

Penalty: Lewis Hamilton received a 5 second penalty for the collision with Oscar Piastri.

The last few laps of the race saw Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz both battle it out for third place on the podium. 

Penalty: Logan Sargeant was handed a 5 second penalty for causing a collision with Valtteri Bottas.
