The Japanese Grand Prix weekend is here and the first two practice sessions have already come to an end. Max Verstappen put in the fastest time during Free Practice 1 whilst Oscar Piastri topped the timesheets in Free Practice 2 during a rain-soaked session.

Logan Sargeant suffered from a crash in FP1, which saw him miss FP2 as a consequence with the Williams team continuing to repair the FW46. Daniel Ricciardo has also had minimal testing time so far after Red Bull junior driver Ayumu Iwasa stepped into his RB for Free Practice 1 and then the wet weather conditions hindered full track time in FP2. Another issue for the teams and drivers is the fact that FP2 is the only representative practice session for Qualifying as it took place at the same time of day.

With Ferrari closing the gap in the Constructors' Standings to Red Bull in Australia, all eyes will be on the two teams to see how close the Maranello-based squad can get in Suzuka. Mercedes also seem more confident going into the race weekend following their double-DNF in Melbourne.

Here is how to watch Qualifying for the Japanese Grand Prix.
