Lance Stroll Gives Update On Wrists After Visibly Difficult Practice

Lance Stroll was seen driving very awkwardly thanks to his wrist injuries sustained before the season.

Aston Martin driver Lance Stroll has given an update on his wrists after what looked like a difficult Friday at testing for the Bahrain Grand Prix

Anticipation is on the rise for the Aston Martin team as they gear up for the Bahrain Grand Prix, which marks the beginning of the 2023 F1 season. The team's impressive performance during pre-season testing and Practice has put their AMR23 model in the running for a spot on the podium.

Unfortunately, during training for the upcoming season, Stroll suffered a broken wrist in a cycling accident and was unable to participate in the three-day testing. However, he has since received medical clearance and is now set to take part in the first race weekend of 2023.

Talking to the press, Lance admitted that his driving yesterday was to conserve his wrists and stay comfortable, rather than out of pain or not being able to steer in certain ways.

"No, no, I was just protecting it," he said after being asked about his steering yesterday. "It feels a little more comfortable so I feel like I can definitely drive, no problem."

With Bahrain practice now over, Aston Martin topped the time sheets thanks to Fernando Alonso. Lance Stroll sat in 7th place behind Mercedes' George Russell and in front of Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.

At full qualifying pace and with equal fuel measures, Aston Martin may be able to clinch their first pole position, but with strong competition from Red Bull, Ferrari, and even Mercedes, we're yet to place any faith in any team so far.
