Mexican GP Results: Charles Leclerc Takes Pole Position In Mexico City With Ferrari Front Row

The results of the Mexican GP Qualifying.

Charles Leclerc will start the Mexican Grand Prix from pole position. Joining the Ferrari driver at the front of the grid tomorrow will be Carlos Sainz and Max Verstappen who will start from second and third on the grid, respectively.

Traffic became a big issue for the drivers during Q1 with Fernando Alonso being investigated after the session for potentially impeding others. The Spanish driver lost control and span out in the last stages of the session causing a brief yellow flag, which hindered the last flying laps of others, including Lando Norris who was surprisingly eliminated and will now start the race tomorrow from the back of the pack. 

Max Verstappen was being investigated by the Stewards for potentially impeding in the pit lane. George Russell was the next driver to be investigated for the same potential offence.

Lewis Hamilton is also under investigation by the Stewards for potentially failing to slow down under the yellow flag conditions. 

Logan Sargeant joins the group of drivers being investigated for possibly overtaking under the yellow flag.

Alex Albon was heard saying to the Williams team that the car felt completely different to the rest of the weekend. After putting in the second fastest time in FP3 earlier today, he is now struggling to find the pace in the FW45. Although he got through to Q3 initially, his lap time was deleted putting him in 14th position.
