Sky Sports F1 presenter Martin Brundle has reacted to the hilarious moment three-time champion Sir Jackie Stewart almost got taken out by security at the Miami Grand Prix.

The moment which caught the attention of social media was at the end of Brundle's pit lane walk on Sky Sports before the Miami Grand Prix got underway. There was a cordoned-off area at the end of the pit lane which some of the drivers such as George Russell and other celebrities were in.

Brundle was keen on having a quick chat with tennis champion Roger Federer however he was struggling to get his attention. So, Sir Jackie Stewart took it upon himself to waltz into the roped-off area and get Federer himself. As the former F1 driver was swarmed by security, fans heard Brundle calling over to Stewart to not get in trouble for him.

During the Sky Sports F1 podcast, Brundle reflected on the funny moment when he explained:

"I mean what a legend, 83-years-old, I happened to cross him at the front at that sort of rope, it was sort of like getting into a dodgy nightclub, wasn't it?

"The pair of us, we had no chance, we had the wrong dress code or something, I don't know.

"I find that whole procedure a little bit weird on the grid, but there were so many people around and I particularly wanted to talk to Roger [Federer] as I got to the front there.

"And I just happened to say to Jackie, he was like 'do you want to talk to him then?', I said 'yeah'.

"'Well I'll get him', you know, and then he just jumps under the rope, now there's three people running after him and I'm like, 'oh my god, I've just gotten Jackie Stewart thrown out of this place', and we've both been thrown out of better places than that.

"And it was hilarious really, then I started to panic a little bit, if I'm honest. I'm like, no, he's 83, you know, I don't need him over there risking himself just for an interview."
