It has been reported that the Schumacher family are looking to move to Mallorca where Michael Schumacher will continue his recovery in a home renovated to cater for his care needs.

In recent years, Corinna Schumacher, wife of F1 icon Michael, has been actively extending their family estate close to Puerto Andratx. And it has now been revealed that the Schumacher family is considering a permanent relocation to the island, where they have spent their winters while the legendary racer recuperates from his severe skiing accident.

As per an article published in the German magazine Die Bunte, Corinna's "grand aspirations" for their family's future include relocating to a lavish £27 million residence on the island close to a ranch for her and their daughter Gina-Maria.

According to the Majorca Daily Bulletin, the property is also set to be renovated to accommodate Michael's ongoing care needs.

The family have remained extremely private since Michael's awful skiing accident which left him with severe brain injuries. Corinna releases updates on the F1 legend every now and then as fans are always sending their well wishes to the family. However, there has not been an update for a while, so it is not clear how the former driver is doing.

Michael's son Mick has followed in his footsteps taking up a career in F1. He parted ways with the Haas F1 team at the end of the 2022 season when the American squad decided not to extend his contract, and he has now signed with Mercedes as their reserve driver for 2023.
