Max Verstappen was able to put in the fastest time during the second free practice session of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend.

Following the Red Bull driver was Fernando Alonso and Nico Hulkenberg who put in the second and third fastest times, respectively.

Max Verstappen has dominated the first day of the Spanish Grand Prix weekend as he was also able to put in the fastest time during the first free practice sessions earlier today.

Mercedes seem to have struggled more than fans expected, however, it is worth noting that the free practice sessions are used to gather data for the teams and viewers do not know what the various different set-ups being used are.

A surprising moment was Nico Hulkenberg putting his Haas second fastest behind Verstappen, although he was not able to hold the spot for too long.
