Valtteri Bottas, the Finnish Formula One driver, is a man who knows a thing or two about speed. But on joining the Alfa Romeo Stake racing team last year, we've been waiting for him to show us his new Italian driver.

The team has now posted photos of the driver collecting his new car - a car that he can drive on the streets, a car that's just for him. And today, he's finally taking delivery of it: a brand new Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm. One of only 500 in the world.

Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm: A Car Fit for a Racing Driver

The Alfa Romeo Giulia GTAm is a car that's been designed for performance. With a top speed of 199 mph, it's a car that can hold its own on the track. But it's not just about speed - the GTAm has been designed with handling in mind. Its aerodynamic bodywork and sophisticated suspension system make it a capable track weapon.

Bottas' Love for Alfa Romeo

Bottas has long been a fan of Alfa Romeo, a brand with a rich racing heritage. The Finnish driver has always been impressed by the Italian marque's combination of style and performance, and he's been eagerly awaiting the chance to get behind the wheel of the €180,000 GTAm.

In an interview earlier this year, Bottas said: “I'm clearly a lifelong car enthusiast,” said Bottas. “But most of all I love the Alfa Romeo brand. It is an honour for me to be an ambassador of the brand and now to become a customer, owner of one of the 500 Giulia GTAs.

“It's a technically excellent vehicle, realised in collaboration with Sauber Engineering by leveraging the expertise and technical know-how that comes directly from Formula 1, but for us car and motorsport enthusiasts it represents so much more. It revives one of the legends of motorsport, the 1965 Giulia GTA, and perfectly embodies the brand's DNA, passion for motorsport, driving pleasure and a unique and distinctive styling appeal.”

The Big Day Arrives

Today is the day that Bottas has been waiting for. He's arrived at the Alfa Romeo dealership, where his new car is waiting for him. The excitement looks palpable as he steps away from his history at Mercedes and into the seat of the sophisticated Italian saloon.
