F1 Rumour: Ferrari To Run Special Tribute Livery In Monza

The tribute is attributed to Ferrari's 24-hour Le Mans Victory this year.

Scuderia Ferrari is all set to update its existing livery for the upcoming Italian GP home race at Monza. As a tribute to Ferrari's World Endurance Championship team that won the 24 hours of Le Mans this year, the F1 team will sport a livery that would have more Yellow with the usual Red and Black.

It was a milestone event for Ferrari who returned to the race format after 50 years and won the longest race in the world! The three drivers who made this happen were Antonio Giovinazzi, Alessandro Pier Guidi, and James Calado. Speaking of the drivers- both Giovinazzi and Calado have raced in Formula 1.

Observe both cars- the SF-23 from Formula 1 and the 499p from WEC and you'll notice that the design of the livery varies quite a lot. For the GP at Monza, the F1 team would try their best to match some of the colors and the livery design from the 499p.
