A big shake-up may be underway in the world of Formula 1, with Alfa Romeo gearing up for a potential title deal with Haas from the 2024 season. This significant partnership could be valued at a cool $20 million per year, as per insider information obtained by RacingNews365.

The end of 2023 will see Alfa Romeo's title sponsorship of the Sauber team wrap up, and the Swiss team's name will once again grace the grid as they gear up for the impending arrival of Audi in 2026. Despite this change, Alfa Romeo remains eager to retain its place in Grand Prix racing.

Information from within the industry indicates that there have been positive discussions between Alfa Romeo and Guenther Steiner's Haas team. Interestingly, Haas' current title sponsor, Moneygram, sports similar colors to the Italian brand, hinting at a harmonious visual transition should the deal go through.

An intriguing link between the two teams is their current association with Ferrari. Both Alfa Romeo and Haas are customers of the Maranello-based team, receiving various components, including power units.

The discussions between Alfa Romeo and Haas were initially set to take place at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix. However, after the cancellation of the Imola event, the talks reportedly took place in Monaco instead.

RacingNews365 also reports that insiders with direct knowledge of the negotiations did not dismiss the speculations of potentially a two-year deal, which could also encompass the 2025 season. As fans and experts of the sport watch closely, it remains to be seen how this potential partnership will shake up the dynamics of Formula 1 racing in the coming years.
