Excitement is building for the inaugural Las Vegas Grand Prix, scheduled for November 18th, 2023. As we eagerly await this highly-anticipated event, aerial footage of the construction progress has shown a slow start. But fear not, as the organizers are confident that the track will be ready in time to host an unforgettable race.

Construction Delays

According to FormulaRapida.net, the construction team is looking to be behind schedule. Despite this, the organisers are pushing ahead with plans to host the race on time. The pitlane and paddock buildings have recently begun construction and are progressing well, albeit slowly. They are situated on a plot of land away from the main city, which is a wise decision as it allows for more flexibility in terms of construction.

Barriers for the racecourse are yet to be installed, with only around a third of them currently produced.

Challenges of a Street Circuit

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to take place on a street circuit, which presents a unique set of challenges. As the track is publicly used every day, preparation for the race becomes increasingly difficult. Moreover, as the track runs through some of the most popular areas of Las Vegas, it makes construction even more challenging.

Proving the Circuit's Safety

The organizers have a lot to prove to the FIA to ensure that the circuit is safe for both drivers and spectators. They are eager to maintain a long-term relationship with Formula One, and the success of the first race is crucial to achieving this. However, it's not uncommon to have last-minute issues with street circuits, as seen in Jeddah.

Excitement Building for the Las Vegas Grand Prix

The Las Vegas Grand Prix is set to be one of the most spectacular events of the year. The organisers are optimistic that everything will be ready in time for the race, and we share their enthusiasm. With its renowned reputation, Las Vegas will have a lot of eyes on it during the race weekend.
