In Abilene, Texas, from April 12 to 21, the Diamond Classic Main Race kicks off with a bang. With a staggering $1.1 million up for grabs in the Main Event alone, this incentive promises 10 days packed with adrenaline. The competition commences with a team roping open to all participants, transitioning next year to eligibility restricted to Diamond Classic nominated horses. Participation in the high-dollar races at the Diamond Classic is limited to a number of farm and stallion station slot holders, with nominated horses required for entry.

April 23-24: Better Barrel Races World Finals - Oklahoma City, Oklahoma

Oklahoma City, Okla., hosts the Better Barrel Races World Finals on April 23-24, marking its 21st annual event. With $150,000 in added prize money, the competition promises intense action. Competitors must participate in BBR-approved races to qualify for the World Finals. Various events during the Finals include Divisional Shootout races, Open, Futurity, Derby, and a Gold Card Race, drawing numerous horses and owners to the thrilling race.

From April 20 to 28 in Guthrie, Okla., the Ruby Buckle Central Region Barrel Race offers an exclusive platform for top-tier competition. Reserved for horses sired by one of the 150 elite stallions holding a slot, the Ruby Buckle spans three races throughout the year, starting at the Lazy E Arena. Featuring a diverse range of classes such as the Open division, Futurities, Derbies, and a Rookie Ruby Race, anticipation runs high for the impressive combined payout totaling $1,255,000 over the week.
