PBR World Champion, NFR qualifier, eight time PBR Finals qualifier, and Resistol Rookie Of The Year, Cooper Davis, recently announced his retirement from PBR's Unleash The Beast Tour.

Davis accomplished his goal of making the NFR in 2013 before he made the transition to the PBR where he went on to win a PBR world title in 2016.

With 42, 90-point rides in the PBR, Davis has had an extraordinary career.

In previous years, Davis rode in the team series for the Carolina Cowboys and then went into the Unleash The Beast Tour, in hunt for another world championship. However, this year will look different for the Southeast, Texas bull rider.

He recently announced in an Instagram post, "I have been blessed with a career beyond my wildest dreams."

"The only thing left to accomplish is to win a PBR Teams Championship, which is why I’ve made the decision to designate the rest of my riding career to just riding in the PBR Team Series," Davis said.

"I want to be able to give my team 100% and feel that it will extend my riding career several more years."

Davis also said he wants to be home to watch his son grow up. He credits wife, Kaitlyn Davis, for her support throughout his career and her voice of reason.

Although Cooper Davis is stepping away from competition in the Unleash The Beast Tour, he say he can be found in the broadcast booth for the upcoming season.

"I am grateful for the career I’ve had so far and looking forward to what’s to come." said Davis.
