Bailey Patterson Dominates Columbia River Circuit, Claims Average and Year-End Championship
Breakaway roper Bailey Patterson of Pendleton, Oregon, dominated her competition at the Columbia River Circuit Finals in Redmond, Oregon from Oct. 19-21 as she claimed both the average title and the year-end championship.
Leading up to the Circuit Finals, Patterson held the top spot in the standings with $25,608.98 in season earnings, a nearly $10,000 lead over her nearest competition, Jordan Minor of Hermiston, Oregon, in the No. 2 spot with $16,404.84 in earnings.
During the Finals, Patterson placed first in the first round with a 2.6-second run, split first in the second round with Minor both with 2.7-second runs and placed fourth in the third round with a 3.9-second run. Her performance resulted in a total time of 9.2 seconds, winning the average title. She earned a total of $5,159 for the weekend, securing her spot at No. 1 in the circuit standings and claiming the year-end championship.
As a result of her new titles, Patterson will represent the Columbia River Circuit at the RAM NFR Open in Colorado Springs, Colorado next July, where she will compete for the coveted National Circuit Championship title.
