FWSSR Bracket Three: The Hailey Kinsel Show

The historic Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo (FWSSR) marches on with bracket three complete. Hailey Kinsel and Sister stole the show.

Hailey Kinsel and DM Sissy Hayday, aka Sister, love Fort Worth and the Stock Show, and for good reason. The duo has picked up multiple reserve and championship titles at the FWSSR throughout their career.

After what most would consider a slow National Finals Rodeo for the famed pair, it appears that Sister and Hailey have found their groove again. Coming off a shared title at the National Western Stock Show, Kinsel walked into Dickies Arena with confidence.

Taking the stage on Tuesday night for their first performance, Kinsel drew toward the bottom of the ground in her set, but apparently, it made no difference to Sister. The Cotulla, Texas, pair hustled through the pattern in the fastest time of the entire rodeo - a smoking 16.34. Due to the tournament format, Kinsel immediately picked up a check for $2,000 for the effort.

"I'm so thankful. This is such a special place to be. This is a place that people dream of running. Fort Worth wants us here, and it makes me want to bring Sis back here every year," Kinsel said after her run.

Coming back on Wednesday evening, Kinsel was joined in the barrel race with an incredible lineup of competitors. With the day sheet showing Michelle Alley, Ashley Day, LaTricia Duke, Lisa Lockhart, Shelley Morgan, Jackie Ganter, and Ivy Hurst, the crowd was assured a spectacular barrel race.

While Kinsel slowed down a little bit with her 16.48-second run, it was still fast enough to pick up the win. Finishing in second place for the night was Ashley Day at 16.60, and just one click of the clock behind was Ivy Hurst with a 16.61-second run.

Competition continues each day at the Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo, with four more brackets left to perform.
