Troyer, Wareham Claim Saddle Bronc Event Titles
Rudy Troyer and Cable Wareham walked away with Saddle Bronc riding titles in a pair of rodeos in advance of the Cinch World's Toughest Rodeo in Indianapolis, which starts on Wednesday.
Troyer won his title at the Putnam County Fair and Rodeo in East Palatka, Fla., while Wareham won his at the Woodlawn Pro Rodeo in Marshall, Texas.
Troyer won this title with an 80-point ride on JC Kitaif Pro Rodeo's "Popeye" marking his first win of the 2024 PRCA season.
Troyer claimed five titles during the 2023 season, with his best winning ride coming on Smilin Goat at the Cotton Blossom Roundup in Nashville, Ga.
Stephen Graefen and Parker Kempfer finished in a tie for second.
Wareham posted an 83-point ride in Marshall on Hi Lo Pro Rodeo's "Peanut Butter Or" It was his first win of the season after finishing out of the running at the Ram Prairie Circuit Finals earlier this month.
Last season he claimed five titles, including one on "Peanut Butter Or," as he rode the bronc to an 86-point ride and victory at the Big V Feeds Pro Rodeo in McAlester, Okla.
Michael Womack came in second with a 77.5-point ride.
