Team Ropers came to compete this past week at the Cowboy Capitol Pro Rodeo. Twelve total teams clocked a money winning time and there was only 0.7 seconds between first and twelfth.

Tyler Wade and his partner Wesley Thorp, had  a 3.9-second run. Each of the athletes banked $2,647. This bumped Wade up from fourth in the word standings in Heading to third with a total of $137,941. Thorp is sitting second in the world in Heeling standings with $155,168. Thorp is only $5,017 behind Junior Nogueira and $14,442 ahead of third place cowboy Colter Todd.

Brothers J.C and L.J. Yeahquo are not in the top-20 in the world standings, but they matched Wade and Thorp with a time of 3.9-seconds. The Yeahquo brothers also each took home $2,647.

Korbin Rice and Jake South turned in a 4.0-second time, landing them in the second position. Each of them put $2,151 in the bank.

Only a hundredth-of-a-second behind Rice and South were Clay Smith and Coleby Payne with a 4.1-second run, earning them $1,820 each. Smith and Payne are both on the bubble and needed this check to keep their hopes alive of making the National Finals Rodeo. Smith and Payne have to be in the top 15 spots in the world standings to solidify going to Las Vegas for the NFR.

Smith is currently sitting 14th in the world standings with $90,599. Luke Brown is only $1,177 ahead of Smith and Cody Snow is only $845 behind Smith.

Payne is in that 17th spot in the world standings with $85,663 total in earnings this season. Being $2,888 behind Paden Bray, 15th in the world, Payne is going to have to make every round count at the Governor's Cup next week.
