Tonozzi Tops Cowboy Capital Pro Rodeo Barrels
Stephenville's Pro Rodeo had a phenomenal week of competition at their brand new facility.
Being one of the last rodeos of the season means it's also one of the last chances for the world standings to shift. Only the top 15 athletes in each of the rodeo events have the opportunity to go on to the National Finals Rodeo in Las Vegas.
The barrel racing world standings have been a close race all season and it is showing no signs slowing down.
Just shy of 100 barrel racers and their incredible equine athletes ran across the dirt in Stephenville.
Number one in the world standings, Brittany Tonozzi, took the lead Sunday, with a 16.64-second run, in the last performance of the Stephenville Pro Rodeo earning her $2,681. This brought her overall season earnings to an astounding $249,563.
