GUTHRIE, Oklahoma. -The Barrel Futurities of America 2023 World Show is starting to wind down at the Lazy E Arena in Guthrie, Ok.

That doesn't mean the horses are slowing down by any means, the competition is only heating up with the final go-rounds.

The three-year-old juvenile race is full of equine athletes and riders that have put in the work and time to be ready to hit the barrel barrel pen.

These horses are run for the first time ever in November in their third year of life.

That means there is a very limited amount of time to prepare these horses for the intensity of barrel racing.

Every second and ride must be used wisely leading up to their debut in the arena.

For the juvenile race at the BFA these three-year-old colts run in two go-rounds then their times are added together for an aggregate to determine the BFA Juvenile Champion.

Out of all 286 riders, running the fastest combined times of 31.296 seconds after both go rounds was Brian Wheeler aboard DesignerLeapToHeaven, sired by Heavenly Firewater. Wheeler took home over $57,398 between go-round money and incentive money.
