Held at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, this battle of the best promises high stakes, including a $1 million bonus for contenders while champions from the PRCA stand to win $100,000 each.

Zeke Thurston, 29, hailing from Big Valley, AB, is a dominant force in the arena. With four World Titles and nine Wrangler NFR Qualifications to his name, Thurston's track record speaks volumes. In 2023, he smashed a season-earnings record, raking in $456,356. His shine continues in 2024, currently holding the 11th rank in the World Standings with $31,000 in earnings. An eight-time consecutive participant at the American Rodeo, Thurston stands poised for a potential breakthrough year.

Sage Newman, 26, representing Melstone, Mont., has made his mark with three Wrangler NFR qualifications. In 2023, he secured second place in the World Standings with $397,836. Holding strong at No. 20 with $19,636 in earnings in 2024, Newman embarks on his fourth consecutive journey to the American Rodeo.

Kade Bruno, 23, from Challis, Idaho, boasts two consecutive Wrangler NFR qualifications. In 2023, Bruno clinched third place in the World Standings with $322,178. Currently ranked 10th with $31,740 in 2024, this marks Bruno's second appearance at the American Rodeo.

Brody Cress, 28, hailing from Hillsdale, Wyo., is a seasoned contender with seven consecutive Wrangler NFR qualifications and three average titles. In 2023, he secured fourth place in the World Standings. Sitting at No. 4 in 2024 with $41,461 in earnings, Cress gears up for his sixth trip to the American Rodeo.

Damian Brennan, 24, representing Injune, QLD, secured fifth place in the World Standings in 2023 with $296,495. In 2024, he currently holds the No. 2 spot with $50,450 in earnings, showcasing his undeniable talent and determination. Brennan is set for his second appearance at the American Rodeo.

American Rodeo 2024 Saddle Bronc Contenders

Dawson Hay, 25, from Wildwood, AB, has marked his presence with four Wrangler NFR qualifications (2019, 2021-23). In 2023, he earned 11th place with $202,376. In 2024, he currently stands 32nd with $15,579. Notably, he clinched the 2022 American Rodeo Saddle Bronc Champion title, making this his fourth appearance at the event.

Ryder Sandford, 25, hailing from Sulphur, La., burst onto the scene with a standout debut at the NFR in 2023, where he secured Rookie of the Year and placed 14th with $154,703 earnings. Continuing his impressive streak, he's now 12th in the standings with $30,911 in 2024, solidifying his status as a rising star. This marks his first time competing at the American Rodeo.

Shea Fournier, 23, representing Raceland, La., demonstrated his potential by winning the PRCA Permit Finals in 2023. In 2024, he continued to shine with victories in Laurel, Miss., and West Monroe, La. With $14,692 in earnings, he currently holds the 36th spot in the World Standings, making his debut at the American Rodeo this year.

Logan Hay, 27, from Wildwood, AB, has established himself as a formidable contender with a Wrangler NFR qualification in 2022 and a recent win at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in 2024. Ranked No. 6 with $39,010 earnings, he's gearing up for his third appearance at the American Rodeo.

Mitch Pollock, 30, hailing from Winnemucca, Nev., showcased his prowess by tying for second place at the prestigious San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo in 2024. Currently ranked 19th with $19,826 in earnings, this marks his fourth trip to the American Rodeo, cementing his status as a seasoned competitor.
