Aaron Judge Honors Roberto Clemente With His Cleats
With each passing year, a new generation of baseball fans come to respect the life and legacy of MLB legend Roberto Clemente. Beginning in 2002, the league designated September 15 as Roberto Clemente Day, which coincides with the start of National Hispanic Heritage Month.
The league, teams, and players do an excellent job celebrating the Pittsburgh Pirates legend. During last night's game in Pittsburgh, New York Yankees right fielder Aaron Judge honored Clemente by wearing custom black and yellow Air Jordan cleats.
Judge wore a pair of Air Jordan 4 sneakers in the 'Thunder' colorway that had been customized into baseball cleats. The iconic colorway was originally released in 2006, 2012, and 2023. The upper features a smooth black nubuck, contrasted by yellow detailing around the shoe.
While the Judge's cleats will never be released to the public, fans can purchase the Air Jordan 4 'Thunder' on trusted sneaker resale websites like StockX, GOAT, eBay, and KICKS CREW.
Injuries have derailed Judge and the Yankees this season, but that is not stopping the American League home run king from producing at a high level and honoring legends of the sport. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.
