It has been just over two weeks since Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards uncorked the dunk of the year over Utah Jazz forward John Collins, and the hype remains at an all-time high.

As the highlight dunk rapidly went viral on social media, NBA fans immediately wanted the bright red sneakers worn by Edwards. To be fair, sneakerheads want every pair of Edwards' first signature sneaker with adidas.

The adidas AE 1 has been released in five colorways - all of which have sold out quickly on the adidas website. Below is a detailed look at the adidas AE 1 'Georgia Red Clay' and details on how to buy the kicks before they surely sell out.

The adidas AE 1 'Georgia Red Clay' is scheduled to be released at 11:00 a.m. EST on Thursday, April 4. Online shoppers will be able to purchase the sneakers for $120 in adult sizes on the adidas website and select retailers. Unfortunately for younger fans, adidas is not releasing the 'Georgia Red Clay' colorway in full-family sizing.

According to adidas, the design team implemented three colors into the Georgia-themed sneaker: Wonder Clay, Preloved Scarlet, and Core Black. The shoe features the same technology as other colorways, such as the TPU cage, BOOST/Lightstrike midsole, and aggressive traction pattern on the outsole.

As someone who has spent a lot of time in Atlanta, I am confident that these hoop shoes will go triple platinum in the Peach State. Edwards is the face of the Timberwolves franchise, but everyone in his hometown proudly claims him.
