Anthony Edwards Debuts Adidas AE 1 "McDonald's"
It feels good to be back with our regularly scheduled programming, and there is no better place to start than with Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. The 22-year-old is stepping into his own as one of the faces of the league and the sneaker industry.
Throughout this NBA season, Edwards has worn his first signature sneaker with adidas. Not only has the adidas AE 1 breathed new life into the basketball shoe community with its fresh design, but the marketing has been equally fresh.
Adidas has released almost every colorway of Edwards' sneakers. But earlier this week, Edwards teased fans with a style that will almost certainly remain a player-exclusive. The adidas AE 1 "McDonald's" colorway is here, and it is spectacular.
Adidas has been the official sponsor of the McDonald's All-American Game since 2012. The annual all-star basketball game regularly features future NBA All-Stars (including Edwards in 2019). Now, Edwards is rocking his first signature sneaker in delicious red, white, and gold colorway.
Edwards is not the only adidas athlete to represent McDonald's on the court. Earlier this month, Los Angeles Clippers guard James Harden debuted a McDonalds-themed colorway of his eighth signature adidas sneaker.
Back to Edwards, the first four colorways of the adidas AE 1 all sold out on the adidas website. However, there are more exciting colorways scheduled to be released over the next few months. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your footwear news from the sports word.
