The Minnesota Timberwolves lost their regular season finale against the Phoenix Suns on Sunday afternoon. Even worse, Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards was held to just 13 points.

However, the day was not a total waste. Minnesota secured the 3-seed in the treacherous Western Conference Playoffs. Best of all, Edwards debuted yet another fire colorway of his first signature sneaker with adidas.

The adidas AE 1 has taken the sneaker community by storm throughout this NBA season. Built on a bold design and propelled by exciting colorways, Edwards' debut hoop shoe has been a smash hit. It also does not hurt that adidas has unleashed an irreverent marketing campaign, and Edwards' highlight dunks have been just as nasty.

During today's game, Edwards drove fans wild by lacing up a never-before-seen 'Timberwolves' colorway. Check out the team's social media post below for a detailed look at the kicks and details on how to find affordable alternatives.

The adidas AE 1 'Timberwolves' sported a mix of bright blue and light green with white detailing. The design is an obvious nod to Minnesota's 1990s-era throwback uniforms, which the team wore in front of the home crowd at the Target Center today.

Unfortunately for athletes and fans, this is a player-exclusive sneaker that will not be released to the public. To make matters worse, every colorway of Edwards' first signature sneaker has sold out quickly upon release on the adidas website.

Online shoppers can still find select styles and sizes of the adidas AE 1 at Foot Locker. Additionally, more colorways of this year's most exciting hoop shoe are sure to drop throughout the summer.

Timberwolves fans are starved for playoff success, just like the sneaker community desperately wants something fresh. We think Edwards is capable of making both fanbases happy this postseason.
