Autographed Game-Worn Nike Kobe 7 Shoes Hit Auction Block
Just over a decade ago, Kobe Bryant was atop the food chain in the basketball world. Throughout the 2011-12 NBA season, the Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard wore his seventh signature basketball shoe with Nike, which carried a special meaning.
The Nike Kobe 7 was inspired by a trip Bryant took to South Africa, where he got up close to predatory animals. The excursion influenced his shoes and his game. Fast forward to January 2012, and the "Black Mamba" dropped 42 points against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Nike Kobe 7 Supreme.

Luckily for diehard fans, those game-worn shoes are open for bidding in PWCC’s May Premier Auction until May 25. The high bid currently stands at $7,250 USD. The sneakers come with a photo match guarantee and letters of authenticity from Sports Investors Authentication and Panini.
These Nike Zoom Kobe VII Supreme System sneakers feature Bryant’s autograph in gold ink on each toe box along with "1-14-12" and “42 pts” written on the heels. The predominantly black colorway is contrasted with white and chrome accents, a white Nike Swoosh logo, and a Lakers gold lining and rubber trim.
“Kobe’s impressive performance in these shoes proved that he remained in the prime of his career,” said Nick Cepero. “He was 33 years old playing his sixteenth season in the NBA and still managed the second-highest scoring average in the league. This is a rare opportunity for collectors to own a true symbol of Mamba mentality.”
Given the exorbitant resale prices of Bryant's retro sneakers that have been sporadically released over the past few years, these shoes feel like a steal. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your sneaker coverage.
