The tennis world turns its attention to Paris today for the start of the French Open. As always, our eyes will be on the footwear of the athletes competing. Once again, Coco Gauff plans to beat the competition and look good doing it.

Last July, New Balance launched Gauff's signature tennis shoe line and has not let off the gas. The Coco CG1 has been released in a series of exciting colorways, but the latest drop puts more spin on the performance models.

The Coco CG1 'Twisted Net' colorway was inspired by the tennis net but with an artistic spin, taking Gauff’s love of social media and warping the net found on a tennis court with cyberspace.

Incorporating flashes of crisp blues and greens, pay tribute to the je ne sais quoi found throughout classic French fashion. The ‘Twisted Net’ colorway is a futuristic, edgy twist to Coco’s signature shoe.

The New Balance Coco CG1 'Twisted Net' will enjoy a global launch on Friday, May 26. Athletes and fans can purchase the shoes on the New Balance website and select retailers for a suggested retail price of $170.

The performance tennis shoes feature a mid-cut silhouette that takes cues from retro models of the 1990s. However, New Balance incorporated the brand’s most innovative technology and design details.

The New Balance CG1 is meant to transcend the worlds of sport and fashion. Gauff worked closely with the New Balance design team to make sure the importance of family was at the forefront of her creative inspiration, as well as her desire to drive the next generation.
