As soon as we think we are done with the retro colorways of Devin Booker's first signature sneaker, he keeps pulling us back in. The Nike Book 1 has drawn criticism from fans because they get original colorways, while Booker debuts player-exclusive styles that pay tribute to iconic Nike sneakers of the past.

However, no one can complain about the latest throwback colorway of the Nike Book 1. During last night's game between the Phoenix Suns and the Los Angeles Clippers, Booker poured in 37 points to lead the Suns to victory.

Even better, he debuted a never-before-seen colorway of the Nike Book 1 that might be the best yet.

On Wednesday night, Booker wore a colorway of the Nike Book 1 inspired by the Nike Cortez shoes popularized in the 1994 hit film Forrest Gump. Below is a detailed look at Booker's already-iconic hoop shoes.

The Nike Cortez "Forrest Gump" has been released numerous times over the years. Fans should have no problems finding them at an affordable price on sneaker resale websites (or just waiting until their next release). Unfortunately, Booker's sneakers might be a different story.

All of the best colorways of the Nike Book 1 have been player-exclusives, and the "Forrest Gump Cortez" should be no different.

While all the tech specs remain the same, the shoe sports exquisite attention to detail that closely replicates its inspiration. Everything from the red and blue detailing to the retro Nike logos on the heels and tongues are on point.

Life is like a box of chocolates; you never know what you are going to get. Maybe Nike will eventually roll out some of these old-school colorways. But in the meantime, the brand is slowly increasing the frequency of drops and new colorways for the Nike Book 1.

Online shoppers can find most of the Nike Book 1 general release colorways available at just above retail prices on the resale website StockX. As always, stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your footwear news from the sports world and beyond.
