Fans Love the Nike LeBron 20 'Liverpool FC'

Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James' Nike shoes drop in red 'Liverpool FC' colorway.
In this story:

The past month has been a whirlwind for LeBron James. The Los Angeles Lakers forward broke the NBA scoring record and played in his 19th All-Star Game. Lost in the shuffle was his epic performance against the New York Knicks on January 31.

James wore his 20th signature shoe, the Nike LeBron 20, in an unreleased bright red colorway in Madison Square Garden. No, the shoes were not an homage to the Big Apple. But instead, a tribute to Liverpool FC.

Since James debuted the shoes three weeks ago, fans have been anxiously awaiting the release of the rare basketball shoes. The Nike LeBron 20 'Liverpool FC' colorway is available now on Nike's website.

However, it is no surprise that the almost entirely red kicks are flying off the shelves. Fans should act fast if they want to avoid paying resale prices. Below is everything Lakers and Liverpool fans must know about the shoes.

A detailed look at the Nike LeBron 20 / Nike

The Nike LeBron 20 'Liverpool FC' colorway features a gym red suede upper contrasted by a burgundy crush and black Swoosh logos on the sides of the shoes. James' signature appears on the tongues with 'LFC' branding imprinted on the heels.

In addition to looking good, the Nike LeBron 20 is arguably the best performance basketball shoe on the market. The cushion is provided by a large forefoot Zoom Air unit that is curved to bend in multiple directions, while a bottom-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel adds additional protection.

Extra stability is provided by a carbon fiber midfoot plate, while the multidirectional pattern on the rubber outsole offers unbeatable traction on the hardwood. Designing a low-cut basketball shoe capable of containing the world's most powerful player is no easy task, but it's all part of the job for Nike Basketball.

With the 2023 NBA All-Star Game in the rearview mirror, James is embarking on what he calls "some of the most important games" of his career. Something tells us the league's all-time leading scorer will be able to lead the Lakers back to the postseason. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news.
