Jalen Hurts Showed Off Sneakers in Pro Bowl Skills Challenge
Watching the NFL Pro Bowl Skills Challenge was not on our itinerary for Thursday night, but an audible was required with load management impacting the NBA's primetime game. Much to our delight, the games were inventive and fun.
All of the challenges were intentionally silly, but they brought out the competitive edge in the league's best players. Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts did not win the Precision Passing competition, but he easily had the best sneakers. Check out the NFL's video below for a detailed look at Hurts' sneakers from Thursday night.
Given the laid-back nature of the festivities, there was no need to lace up football cleats. Instead, all of the Pro Bowlers rocked casual sneakers. Hurts went with the Air Jordan 11 in the iconic white and black 'Concord' colorway.
Old-school hoops fans will remember the sneakers from Michael Jordan's return to basketball during the Chicago Bulls' playoff loss to the Orlando Magic in 1995. Despite the loss, the sneakers have gone on to become a favorite among athletes on the basketball court and the football field.
Air Jordan 11
Hurts has shown a strong affinity for the Air Jordan 11 'Concord.' Not only does he rock the sneakers casually, but he has worn cleated versions of the kicks on the football field. Since signing a sneaker deal with Jordan Brand in August 2023, Hurts has taken his footwear up a level.
Online shoppers should have no trouble finding the Air Jordan 11 'Concord.' However, it will cost them a pretty penny. After originally releasing in November 1995, the kicks have enjoyed multiple retro releases, with the most recent coming in December 2018. That batch of kicks is now going for more than $400 on sneaker resale websites in most sizes.
The season and the skills competition did not end the way Hurt wanted, but something tells us the 25-year-old quarterback will be back and better than ever next year with an even stronger footwear rotation. Follow FanNationKicks.com for all your sneaker news.
