Jayson Tatum Stars in First Commercial for Jordan Brand
The 2022-23 NBA season has been a transitional year for the sneaker industry. Some signature lines have come to an end, while some stars have launched their first signature sneaker.
Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum is one of the few players in the league to earn his own shoe, thanks to over five seasons of stellar play. Earlier today, Tatum and Jordan Brand released the first video advertisement promoting the Jordan Tatum 1.
In the opening scene of the 30-second video, Tatum is asked if he "always knew." Tatum looked into the camera, where digitally animated scenes from his childhood are reenacted before Tatum answers, "Yeah, I knew."
Jordan Brand has a long history of successful marketing campaigns and appears to be off to a great start with the launch of Tatum's first signature sneaker. Below is what fans must know about the upcoming Jordan Tatum 1.
Jordan Tatum 1
The Jordan Tatum 1 is launching in the black and red 'Zoo' colorway on Friday, April 7. Fans can purchase the shoes on the Nike website for $120 in adult sizes, $90 in big kids, $75 in little kids, and $55 in baby/toddler sizes.
Several colorways of the Jordan Tatum 1 will celebrate important moments in Tatum's formative years. Not only will the shoe be released in exciting colorways throughout the spring and summer, but the performance model offers cutting-edge technology.
The Jordan Tatum 1 features a lightweight mesh upper and stripped-away heavy rubber, except for the forefoot and toe. Additionally, the Zoom Air unit provides ample impact protection while the foam wrap maintains a stable ride on the hardwood.
Tatum has won the 2023 NBA All-Star Game MVP Award, launched his signature sneaker line, and is poised to make more history this season. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks to follow Tatum and the rest of the sports footwear world.
