Kevin Durant & Jayson Tatum Star in New Foot Locker Ad
A new partnership between Foot Locker, Nike, and Jordan Brand launched at NBA All-Star Weekend and is already taking shape. Foot Locker is debuting the latest installment of The Clinic with Nike and Jordan Brand in a cinematic ad spot.
Dubbed ‘Heartbeat,’ the commercial stars Phoenix Suns forward Kevin Durant and Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum. Heartbeat visually mirrors athletes’ determination and dedication to their craft alongside Foot Locker’s iconic "Stripers."
Each scene mimics the 'thump-thump' sound of a beating heart – speeding up and ultimately reaching a crescendo that plays off Foot Locker's global platform and tagline "The Heart of Sneakers."
The voiceover provides a motivational narration by Foot Locker’s own Striper as they effortlessly combine inspirational moments on and off the court – "We're elevating every part of the game, from how you play to how you show up to play."
The Heartbeat spot is the first ad and creative of its caliber to debut under The Clinic, Foot Locker’s newly unveiled year-round program in partnership with Nike and Jordan Brand. The Clinic brings the best of the court and culture to basketball fans, sneaker enthusiasts, and local communities.
The unveiling of The Clinic coincided with Foot Locker’s vast ‘Home Court’ footprint during NBA All-Star 2024 in Indianapolis. Foot Locker brought the best of the basketball world together under one roof through a one-of-a-kind retail and activation space.
The rollout of The Clinic follows Foot Locker’s continued basketball offense, including its announcement of a multi-year partnership with the NBA in November 2023 as an official league marketing partner.
Foot Locker’s investment in basketball and beyond ladder up to “The Heart of Sneakers” as Foot Locker continues to be the global home for all things sneakers.
Heartbeat, created in partnership with creative agency Preacher, will make its broadcast debut during the Phoenix Suns v. Dallas Mavericks game on Thursday, February 22. Follow FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear news from the NBA and the rest of the sports world.
