The season did not conclude as Los Angeles Lakers fans had wanted. The proud franchise and its fanbase always maintain a championship-or-bust mentality. But that cannot take away from the historic season enjoyed by LeBron James.

In addition to breaking the NBA's all-time scoring record, James also celebrated two decades with Nike. Somehow, James matched all of the pomp and circumstance with his stellar play.

James was at his best during the Western Conference Playoffs, where he mostly stuck with one pair of brightly-colored basketball shoes. Luckily for fans, those shoes are now available online at retail price.

A detailed look at LeBron James' shoes.

The Nike LeBron NXXT Gen 'Ghost Green' was released on Friday, June 2. The performance basketball shoes cost $160 in adult sizes on the Nike website. Additionally, four other colorways of the model are available at or below retail price.

James wore new and retro models throughout the season before eventually settling on the Nike LeBron NXXT Gen. The low-cut shoes are built for any player wanting to feel faster and lower to the court.

Nike's design team implemented an impressive cushioning system that contains a large forefoot Zoom Air unit, which is curved to bend in multiple directions. Additionally, a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the heel adds more impact protection.

An open-hole mesh on the upper keeps the shoe lightweight and breathable. Meanwhile, the multidirectional traction pattern is a map of Akron, a nod to James' hometown.

The Lakers' season might be over, but James isn't done making noise. Fans can count on more sneakers news related to James dripping out over the summer. Stay tuned to FanNation Kicks for all your footwear coverage.
