The Los Angeles Lakers continue to defy all expectations. Last night, they continued their unexpected NBA playoff run by defeating the Golden State Warriors to win the series in six games.

Just as the Lakers prove the naysayers wrong, LeBron James keeps pushing back against Father Time. The 38-year-old led the way with 30 points, nine rebounds, and nine assists in the closeout victory.

James is aging like fine wine, and so is his signature Nike sneaker line. Throughout this season, James and Nike have celebrated 20 years together with their best season yet. The league's all-time leading scorer has worn a mix of new and retro shoes on the court.

Last night, James put up a vintage performance in his second signature sneaker. The Nike LeBron 2 was released in 2004 and has enjoyed a resurgence thanks to James' wearing it so much this season. Below is everything fans need to know about the old-school hoop shoes.

In Game 6, James wore the Nike LeBron 2 Retro in the 'USA' colorway. The colorway is inspired by the shoes James wore in the dreadful 2004 Summer Olympics. However, they are taking on new meaning with all the winning James has done in them this season.

The 'USA' colorway was released in October 2022 for $210. Unfortunately, the shoes have sold out online. But fans can still purchase a white and gold colorway of the model for $148 on the Nike website.

Now that the Lakers are advancing to the Western Conference Finals, fans worldwide will likely be treated to at least four more games of James' impressive sneaker rotation. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your footwear coverage.
