What's better than defeating a conference opponent? Picking up a win and unboxing new sneakers after the game. The Miami Hurricanes beat the Clemson Tigers 95-82 on Wednesday night and had a surprise waiting on them when they got back to their locker room at Watsco Center.
Adidas supplied the Hurricanes with the first signature sneaker of Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. The Hurricanes social media team shared an incredible video of the players celebrating the win and unboxing their new basketball shoes.
The adidas AE 1 launched in the orange and black "With Love" colorway for $120 on December 16, 2023. The highly anticipated sneakers sold out quickly online, but they can still be found for just above the retail price on the resale website StockX.
Adidas and the University of Miami agreed to a 12-year deal in 2015 that runs through June 2027. During their time as partners, adidas has supplied the athletic department with the best gear the brand has to offer. In return, the Hurricanes have scored touchdowns and cut down nets.
