Sunday afternoon's NCAA Basketball Tournament Championship Game between the Iowa Hawkeyes and the South Carolina Gamecocks did not fail to meet the lofty expectations placed upon it.

South Carolina contained Iowa's Caitlin Clark enough to complete their undefeated season. While the Gamecocks took cut down the nets and took home the trophy, there were no losers from the game or the tournament. Women's college basketball is finally getting the love it deserves.

The entire country has been locked into the Big Dance, and that includes top athletes from different professional sports. Before the Los Angeles Angels took on the Boston Red Sox on Sunday afternoon, Mike Trout showed support for Clark and the Hawkeyes.

The 11x MLB All-Star rocked Clark's jersey and a pair of Air Jordan 1 Low sneakers. Trout posted the picture to his Instagram account with the caption, "Changing the game! @caitlinclark22." Clark replied with three fire emojis before both athletes took part in their respective competitions.

If you are like us and want to copy Trout's pregame outfit, it will not be an easy task. Clark's Iowa jersey has sold out on the Nike website. But the silver lining is Trout's Air Jordan 1 Low "Black Medium Grey" sneakers are available just above retail price on the resale website GOAT.

At 32 years old, Trout is truly a millennial. It does not matter how old we get; basketball jerseys and sneakers will always be a go-to staple in our wardrobe. With the 2024 WNBA Draft just a week away, Trout better get ready to buy a #22 Indiana Fever jersey for Clark.
