College football fans all over the country are still digesting the shocking news of Nick Saban's retirement. Many fans and news outlets are sharing their favorite moments from Saban's legendary career to cope with the end of the greatest football coaching run in NCAA history.

Earlier this week, the SEC Network posted a video from 2020 that shows Saban in a subpar mood during an Alabama Crimson Tide football practice. In the TikTok post, Saban complains about everything from his drink to his Nike shoes.

Saban can be heard saying to his players, "I've got new shoes that are hurting my feet. When they start hurting my feet, I'm going to get cranky...". Saban told an assistant coach, "My foot's killing me. I can't get a new pair of shoes?" Check out the hilarious video below.

Before fans start worrying about an equipment manager losing their job or the status of Alabama's relationship with Nike, it appears to have all been in jest. Knowing he was wearing a microphone, Saban played up his Larry David-esque eccentricities for the television audience.

The full video shows that Saban was clearly joking around with his team and coaching staff. But for a minute, he had us all concerned about his feet. Luckily, the relationship between Nike and the University of Alabama is rock solid. Nike has sponsored Alabama since 2002, with the two parties agreeing to multiple contract extensions.

The latest deal was signed in 2013 and runs through 2025. The contract is reportedly worth $63 million in apparel and cash plus a $5 million signing bonus (a steal of a deal for Nike compared to other school's apparel contracts).

Saban has left Alabama in a position to succeed on the field and garner a much more lucrative contract when their current deal with Nike expires in the summer of 2025. Follow FanNationKicks.com for all your most important footwear news from the sports world.
