Ever since the tragic passing of Kobe Bryant, the basketball world has not felt whole. To add insult to injury, it has been nearly impossible for fans to purchase sneakers from Bryant's iconic signature line with Nike.

After many twists and turns over the past three years, there is finally hope in sight for desperate sneakerheads. In July, Nike CEO John Donahoe said Nike is planning to “relaunch the Kobe brand” before August 24 (also known as "Kobe Day").

To further stoke excitement among athletes and fans, Nike published a tweet today that did not mince words. "Type out "iconic footwear" with your eyes closed. We'll go first: Kobe Brand is back."

A few minutes later, Nike published an additional tweet saying, "The newest shoe in the iconic Kobe line is almost here. Tune into SNKRS ‘Live From the Archive’ (North America only) on August 10 for the unveiling and exclusive details on the upcoming release."

Fans can count on us for up-to-the-minute news as we have a continuously updated Kobe sneaker release calendar that already has ten models scheduled to drop over the next year.

But "Kobe Brand" has the potential to be far more than just sneakers. During Bryant's heyday with Nike, his signature line included apparel, accessories, and customizable sneakers. Bryant's merchandise was for the masses, not a luxury item designated for the few.

It has been over seven years since Bryant played his final NBA game, and his signature sneakers remain some of the most popular models among current players. With the upcoming relaunch of the "Kobe Brand," the possibilities are endless. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your sneaker news.
