It has not been the best of weeks for fans of Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball. The superstar was shut down for the season with an ankle injury, and his dad talked trash about his signature sneaker line. But as a member of the LaMelo Army, we remain undaunted.

While we anxiously await to see Ball back on the court next season, PUMA is keeping fans satisfied with a steady stream of exciting colorways. The latest installment for Ball's third signature sneaker is the 'Volt' colorway.

Some fans originally speculated that the colorway drew inspiration from Ball's hometown WNBA team, the Los Angeles Sparks, but that does not appear to be the case. Below is an official campaign image for the sneakers and all of the relevant release information.

The PUMA MB.03 'Spark' will be released at 10:00 a.m. EST on Friday, April 5. Athletes and fans can purchase the sneakers for $125 on the PUMA website, PUMA app, and select retailers.
The 'Spark' colorway features a shade of Safety Yellow on the upper contrasted by Purple Glimmer on the outsoles, ankle collars, and sides.

PUMA is encouraging fans to light up the court with the 'Spark' colorway. Its' bold, neon colors and eye-catching accents calling out Ball’s one-of-one style, making the MB.03 Spark an electrifying addition to your game. Designed with Ball’s fast-paced play in mind, the MB.03 Spark features ultra-supportive NITROFOAM™ for stability and comfort when driving the lane, split-second cuts, and taking it coast-to-coast.

The countdown to Ball's return is officially underway, and we will be closely watching the clock. In the meantime, PUMA is going to hold us down with more fire sneakers. Stay locked into FanNation Kicks for all your footwear news from the sports world.
