Skechers Bolsters Its Roster By Signing 3 More MLB Players
Baseball is officially back, and the new MLB season is the perfect time for players (and brands) to show off their best gear. For the 2024 MLB season, performance footwear leader Skechers hit the field with an expanded roster.
Skechers has announced new signings, including Philadelphia Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola, Los Angeles Dodgers player Chris Taylor, and St. Louis Cardinals player Brendan Donovan.
These newly signed star athletes will be competing in customized Skechers Baseball cleats along with Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Wade Miley, who has been in Skechers on the mound since 2022, and Dodgers ace pitcher Clayton Kershaw since 2019.
Aaron Nola
"I’m honored to be wearing Skechers this season, to promote the S around the league,” said Aaron Nola, who is starting his 10th MLB season and shares the all-time Major League record for consecutive strikeouts (10).
“A comfortable cleat is so important to my game—when I’m feeling good on the mound, I can totally focus on doing my job, getting the batter out.”
Brendan Donovan
“It was amazing going back and forth with the design team through cleat reviews, adding my input each step of the way,” noted Brendan Donovan, who in his 2022 rookie year became the first utility player in the National League to receive the Golden Glove.
“These cleats show just how serious Skechers is—they care about performance, they care about comfort, and they're producing a high-level cleat.”
Chris Taylor
“We’re out here three to four hours every game with 162 games a year so comfort is so important to performing at your best,” added Chris Taylor, 11-year veteran utility player who hit his 100th home run last season.
“I live in Manhattan Beach where Skechers is based and watched all they have done for the community and their focus on providing comfort and innovation to athletes. It feels right to be part of the family and on Team Skechers as they’re growing as a performance brand across many sports, including baseball.”
Wade Miley
Returning to the mound in Skechers cleats is Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Wade Miley. Previously praising the brand as “the most comfortable shoes on the market,” Miley’s love of Skechers on and off the field has captured the attention of commentators.
As the go-to brand for comfortable and innovative performance footwear, more athletes around the world across multiple sports are turning to Skechers to elevate their game with the brand’s signature Comfort that Performs.
