Stephen Curry's Retro Shoes Return & They're Straight Fire
Golden State Warriors point guard Stephen Curry is still playing at the highest level of his career. Not only is Curry's game aging like fine wine, but so is his signature basketball sneaker line.
In addition to dropping Curry's tenth signature earlier this season, Under Armour and Curry Brand have brought back fan-favorite models from the past with tech upgrades. Even better, they have cooked up some seriously fire colorways.
No hoops fan can forget how Curry's infamous all-white 'Chef Curry' shoes were scorched on social media in 2016. Unfazed, Curry leaned into the criticism from the sneaker community, calling the shoes "straight fire," and created his own custom pair with flame emojis.
Fast forward seven years and the 9x NBA All-Star is bringing back his low-cut dad shoes with some important additions. Below is what every fan must know about the Curry 2 Low FloTro 'Chef Curry' release.
How to Buy
The Curry 2 Low FloTro is dropping in the 'Chef Curry' colorway on Saturday, April 1. The performance basketball shoes are expected to cost $150 in adult sizes. Fans can purchase the shoes on the Curry Brand website and in select UA Brand Houses.
Curry Brand has treated sneakerheads to several fan-favorite colorways that some had feared were gone forever. Next Saturday will be their chance to get their hands on Curry's interpretation of a moment that defined his journey and place in sneaker culture.
Details
Curry's FloTro series is a testament to the brand's loyalty to fans and its mission to serve athletes with cutting-edge technology. The Curry 2 Low FloTro features UA Flow cushioning technology, which is lightweight, bouncy, and grippy.
The Open Cell foam sock liner for ultimate step-in comfort, while the molded heel provides enhanced heel lockdown and stability on the court. The lightweight, seamless upper is designed to look like a marshmallow getting roasted over a campfire before it's served up on a s'more.
Much like Curry, the design team in Maryland has been its bag all season. It has been seven years since Curry's shoes got unfairly roasted online, and now the greatest three-point shooter of all time is getting the last laugh.
