The Curry 1 FloTro Low is Dropping in 'Draft Day' Colorway
Every fan base can look back at previous NBA Drafts with joy and remorse (although not always equal). There is no denying the Golden State Warriors hit the jackpot when selecting Stephen Curry with the seventh overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft.
The baby-faced guard out of Davidson College turned into the greatest outside shooter in league history. Now Curry Brand and Under Armour are taking a victory lap with a first-of-its-kind colorway inspired by the suit Curry wore on June 25, 2009.
Curry 1 Low FloTro 'Draft Day'
The Curry 1 Low FloTro is releasing in the 'Draft Day' colorway on June 22, 2023. Fans can purchase the shoes for $150 in adult sizes on the Curry Brand website and at select UA houses.
Over the past year, sneakerheads have been treated to several fan-favorite colorways that have returned on Curry's new and retro shoes. However, the 'Draft Day' colorway is a new chapter in Curry's sneaker canon.
Similar to Curry's suit and accompanying pocket handkerchief, the upper design sports a still-water/pink sugar color palette. A lightning bolt accent pays tribute to the retro Warriors logo. Lastly, the polka dot detail on the lavender gradient midsole matches Curry's draft day tie to complete the look.
In addition to sporting a look clean enough to walk across the stage, the Curry 1 Low FloTro is a beast on the basketball court. The molded textile upper is lightweight and breathable, while the UA Flow technology provides ample cushion and grip.
Stephen Curry
Since entering the NBA, Curry has done more than prove his doubters wrong - he has changed the game for good. Over the past ten years, Curry and Under Armour have redefined what a signature footwear deal can mean for a player.
In addition to launching ten signature shoes, Curry and Under Armour launched Curry Brand in 2020. In just two years, the two partners have refurbished ten courts, trained 2,500 coaches, supported 77 programs, and impacted more than 72,000 youth athletes.
Under Armour and Curry Brand are on track to renovate 20 safe places to play, train 15,000 coaches, and support 125 programs to impact 100,000 youth by 2025. Despite his busy schedule, Curry remains invested in elevating his brand's commitment to communities and delivering product solutions that help athletes perform at the highest level.
