Milwaukee Bucks power forward Giannis Antetokounmpo is back with another installment of his signature basketball sneaker line. Over the past few weeks, Antetokounmpo has toured China promoting his fifth signature sneaker with Nike.

After months of anticipation, the Nike Freak 5 was finally launched on July 21, 2023. The shoes hit shelves in two colorways that tell a part of Antetokounmpo's incredible story of rising to the top of the NBA

In addition to looking good, the Nike Freak 5 will be a performance beast on the court thanks to its upgraded technology. The cushion is provided by a springy foam midsole and a top-loaded Zoom Air unit in the forefoot.

Meanwhile, the internal containment system and advanced traction are built to harness the power of the league's most explosive player. Below is everything fans must know about the first two colorways of the Nike Freak 5 to hit shelves.

One of the first versions of the Nike Freak 5 to release online was the 'Keep it a Buck' colorway. Fans can purchase the Nike Freak 5 'Keep it a Buck' for $140 in adult sizes, $105 in big kids' sizes, and $80 in little kids' sizes on the Nike website.

The Gym Red, Fir, and Metallic Gold colorway is an obvious nod to the Bucks team colors. However, the design is personalized for its namesake. Antetokoumpo's signature logos appear on the tongues and outsoles, as well as a flowery tribute on the insole.

During his Chinese tour, Antetokounmpo explained, "It’s about Milwaukee and the sacrifice that I made. I believed that we were going to win a championship — and that became reality."

The Nike Freak 5 'Made in Sepolia' was released for $130 in adult sizes on the Nike website. The colorway is a tribute to the basketball courts of Sepolia, where Antetokounmpo first fell in love with the sport.

The 'Made in Sepolia' colorway features a dazzling mix of Fuchsia Dream, Baltic Blue, and Phantom to create an eye-catching hoop shoe capable of casual appeal. The 'Nike Air' branding on the heels and half-speckled Swoosh logos give sneakerheads a reason to be excited about new performance basketball shoe releases.

With both the 'Keep it a Buck' and 'Made in Sepolia' colorways, the Nike Freak 5 makes a strong debut. Antetokounmpo's signature line is truly hitting its stride, and we cannot wait to see what the "Greek Freak" and Nike have planned for the next year.
