While it is true that there is always a plethora of sneaker releases each weekend, not every day on the footwear calendar is equal. With the change of seasons upon us, all of the major brands are stepping up their game. Starting tomorrow, sneakerheads are in for a treat as several highly anticipated models are finally hitting shelves.

As always, our goal at FanNation Kicks is to highlight the best and most affordable sneakers for the average consumer. We believe that online shoppers should not need an army of bots to purchase a pair of kicks, as there are plenty of general-release models that don't get enough love. Below is a list of the five best sneakers releasing from October 6-7, 2023.

New Balance Coco CG1 'Spooky'

Coco Gauff has enjoyed an amazing signature sneaker debut with New Balance. Over the past year, the Coco CG1 has been released in several exciting colorways that are authentic to Gauff's personality. After Gauff's US Open Championship, her signature tennis shoes are finally getting the level of hype they deserve.

Inspired by Gauff's favorite holiday, the Coco CG1 'Spooky Season' arrives just in time for Halloween. The scary colorway features a black and dark purple upper, which is contrasted by smooth off-white laces and detailing around the performance tennis shoe. Athletes and fans can purchase the shoes on Friday, October 6, for $170 in adult sizes on the New Balance website

PUMA MB.03 'LaFrance'

Basketball has plenty of bright stars, but no Gen-Z player has a more loyal following than Charlotte Hornets point guard LaMelo Ball. Now that Ball is healthy and back on the court, PUMA has cooked up another fire colorway for his third signature basketball shoe.

The PUMA MB.03 has been released in limited quantities so far, so hoops fans are eager to get their hands on the 'LaFrance' colorway. Not only is Ball's hoop shoe good for the basketball court, but the slimy green sneaker lends itself to the Halloween season. Online shoppers can purchase the shoes for $140 on Friday, October 6, on the PUMA website.

adidas Crazy 8

It is unfair to loyal fans of the late-great Kobe Bryant that his retro sneakers are nearly impossible to purchase at their retail price. Luckily for fans, adidas has recently opened up its archives to bring back several retro models that were popularized by Bryant during his time with the brand.

Basketball fans of a certain age cannot look at the adidas Crazy 8 and not think of Bryant's acrobatic finishes during the early stages of his career. Thanks to the three stripes, they can buy back some of those nostalgic feelings. Online shoppers will be able to buy the adidas Crazy 8 'Off-White' on Friday, October 6, for $140 on the adidas website.

Air Jordan 6 'Aqua'

The sixth installment of Michael Jordan's legendary signature sneaker line will always be a part of basketball and footwear history. It has been over 30 years since the Air Jordan 6 was released, and the retro model refuses to look a day over perfection.

For the first time in years, the 'Aqua' colorway is making a comeback. Even better, it will be available in full-family sizing. Online shoppers can purchase the iconic sneakers for $200 in adult sizes, $160 in big kids' sizes, $100 in little kids' sizes, and $85 in baby/toddler sizes. Just make sure you are prepared for the kicks to drop at 10:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, October 7, on the Nike website.

Nike Ja 1 'Smoke'

It has not been the smoothest of rollouts for Ja Morant's signature Nike sneaker line. While the Memphis Grizzlies point guard serves another suspension, his basketball shoes continue to be released in new colorways (even if Nike had to make some last-minute adjustments).

The black and grey colorway originally had "We Ain't Ducking No Smoke" inscribed on the back heel. But Nike decided to lower the temperature in the room by placing a patch featuring Morant's signature where the phrase was initially supposed to be located.

The Nike Ja 1 'Smoke' is hitting shelves at 10:00 a.m. EST on Saturday, October 7. Fans can purchase the performance basketball shoes for $120 in adult sizes on the Nike website
