Tiger Woods & TaylorMade Officially Unveil Sun Day Red

Tiger Woods and TaylorMade have created a standalone footwear and apparel brand called Sun Day Red.

After weeks of buzz, 15-time major champion and 82-time PGA TOUR winner Tiger Woods and TaylorMade Golf officially made history on Monday night. The two parties announced an extended partnership to launch a standalone new lifestyle brand appropriately named Sun Day Red.

Sun Day Red was built from the ground up to be one of the most sought-after lifestyle brands, with a full range of premium apparel and footwear. The team at Sun Day Red is working closely with Woods to mine his extensive knowledge and expertise in performance apparel and footwear.

Woods is known for his meticulous attention to detail, which will play a significant role in the Sun Day Red products. The creation of the Sun Day Red logo was also an exhilarating process, incorporating Tiger’s 15 major championship wins within the design of the signature brand Tiger.

"I have learned so much over the years and have a lifetime of experience adjusting my apparel and footwear to help me play better based on the way it was constructed. There are things that I could tell you that no one knew I was doing over the years. I’m ready to share those secrets with the world," said Woods.

Woods continued, "Sun Day Red will embody a love of playing and competing, and we are for people that share those values, whether it’s on the course or in life. We will be anchored to putting the athlete first in the product decisions we make. TaylorMade Golf has been a great partner on the equipment side. They have the best people who I deeply trust, and they can bring this to life like no one else."

Sun Day Red is a completely stand-alone brand with a dedicated team of designers and staff, as well as its own headquarters. Woods and TaylorMade have added top leaders from fashion and culture to run the brand including Brad Blankinship, who has been appointed president of Sun Day Red and will oversee day-to-day management. Blankinship has decades of experience at leading brands including Quiksilver and RVCA.

"Tiger’s approach to his craft and unyielding pursuit for perfection makes him the ideal partner. Tiger has an innate ability to see the details in the details. We have obsessed together over every stitch, every fit, to ensure we get it right by the athlete," said Blankinship. “Together, we will change the landscape of lifestyle brands with Sun Day Red and are excited for fans and consumers to experience our products first-hand."

Sun Day Red will launch its first line of apparel for men on May 1, 2024, and will be made available online in the United States and Canada. Over time, Sun Day Red will expand its availability in key markets outside of North America, at retail, and broaden its product offering to include footwear, women's and kids’ lines.

Woods and TaylorMade first joined forces in 2017 with a multi-year equipment endorsement agreement. Woods collaborated with TaylorMade's industry-leading engineering team to develop the acclaimed P·7TW irons before claiming a fifth green jacket in 2019.

Woods has also been instrumental in the development of TaylorMade’s Milled Grind wedge line with his custom "TW" grinds that are played on professional tours around the world.

Woods and TaylorMade announced the launch of Sun Day Red at Palisades Village in Pacific Palisades, Calif., just ahead of the Genesis Invitational tournament, which Woods hosts. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com for all your footwear and apparel news from the sports world.
