Travis Scott Visits Colleges to Promote Cactus Jack Collaboration
Oh, how I miss college. It's been over a decade since I graduated, and I did not even attend a big school. What would it have been like to attend a BIG-10 or SEC school? Let alone one of the campuses that were recently visited by one of the biggest rappers in the world.
On Wednesday night, multi-platinum artist Travis Scott and Fanatics CEO Michael
Rubin celebrated the new “Jack Goes Back to College” collaboration between Cactus Jack, Lids, Fanatics, and Mitchell Ness. The two titans of their industries took over college campuses to add fuel to the fire surrounding the new collection.
On Wednesday night, Travis and Michael surprised the LSU Football team (with athletes such as Jayden Daniels) and gifted the new collaboration to players on the team. From there, Michael and Travis went to the LSU bookstore for a midnight launch of the collection where LSU students were the first to get their hands on the new merch. Michael and Travis were also joined by LSU star athletes Angel Reese, Flau’jae Johnson, and Jayden Daniels, who signed autographs.
After the first of three stops, Travis and Michael headed down to the University of Texas at Austin. The two teammates where Travis participated in a discussion with Texas President Jay Hartzell. Next, they went to The University of Southern California on Thursday afternoon. All three stops did an excellent job of highlighting the business and fun of campus life in the NCAA.
For those wonder, the apparel from the "Jack Goes Back to College" collaboration is absolute fire. The gear went live at 1:00 p.m. EST on Thursday afternoon. The limited-edition apparel collection will be available for purchase via shop.travisscott.com, at select Lids locations and campus bookstores operated by Barnes & Noble College at the participating universities, as well as Fanatics.com.
