UCLA Wore Retro Air Jordans With Throwback Uniforms
It may not have been the prettiest victory, but a win is a win in college football. The UCLA Bruins picked up a hard-fought victory against the Colorado Buffaloes in a nationally televised game on Saturday night. While the slugfest was not aesthetically pleasing, everything else was picturesque in Pasadena, California.
For the first time since partnering with Jordan Brand in 2021, the UCLA football team donned alternate uniforms. The throwback powder blue jerseys were debuted in honor of homecoming and expectedly set social media ablaze.
However, it was the Bruins' pregame sneakers that excited the online sneaker community. Thanks to UCLA's social media team, fans were treated to close-up pictures of the Bruins' Air Jordan sneakers.
Before Saturday's game, the Bruins football team rocked Air Jordan 2 Low sneakers in a white and blue colorway. (During the action, most of the team played in black and white Air Jordan 1 cleats.) Fans looking to purchase a similar pair can find the model in the 'UNC' colorway on sneaker resale websites such as StockX and GOAT.
Since teaming up with Jumpman a little over two years ago, UCLA has raised the bar for what is expected in the NCAA. We have seen the student-athletes rock plenty of player-exclusive gear, but Jordan Brand outdid themselves for Saturday's primetime game against "Coach Prime" and the Buffaloes.
The college football season is hitting its stride, and it is safe to expect plenty more heat from the major sneaker brands over the next few weeks. Stay locked into FanNationKicks.com to learn more about what your favorite athletes wear on and off the field.
